THE OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the importance of using TALEO by creating funny innovative content that speaks directly to HR professionals. By showing these recognizable hiring, “horror stories” the aim is to position TALEO as the refreshingly smart choice for HR professionals and recruiters everywhere. Now that’s pretty, “Smart.”

STRATEGY: The campaign is centered on a character by the name of Robert McKinney, a fictional HR representative who, through a series of videos and other media, demonstrates a propensity for choosing sub-par and/or vastly unqualified candidates. Robert acts as an anti-spokesman and cautionary tale, humorously showing the disastrous results of trying to hire without using Taleo’s services. By introducing a lovably humorous character along with recognizable hiring “horror stories”, the aim is to position Taleo as the refreshingly smart choice for HR professionals and recruiters.
